Qualifications and achievements:
As well as being highly qualified, Rob’s experience and expertise is with advising his clients in all aspects of financial planning. This is largely wealth planning and investment advice, pension decisions as well as all aspects of mortgage lending such as: equity release, buy to let, refinancing and assisting first time buyers with that all important first step.
When Rob’s not revising for exams or completing one of his numerous annual subscriptions, Rob enjoys walking his dog (“Moray”) and frustrating motorists on his bicycle. Rob is a member of his local cycling club and regularly competes in licensed British Cycling races.
On the rare occasions Rob's not clad in Lycra, as an avid Manchester United fan, he's almost certainly at Old Trafford enduring the latest Glazer orchestrated debacle. Rob also occasionally plays a game bordering on golf and enjoys football (when his knees allow). This general passion for sport has led to Rob providing commentary and audio description at several major sporting events including the 2014 Commonwealth Games and Premier League football. He patiently awaits Martin Tyler’s retirement.
Rob is active in his local community and has hosted the SWDevon Business Network in Ivybridge for many years, as well as running the monthly SWLaw Clinic at the Watermark in Ivybridge. As a proud supporter of Plymouth Argyle FC Project 35 initiative in partnership with Argyle Community Trust, part of the official charity of Plymouth Argyle, Rob has been instrumental in getting SWLaw behind their crucial work. Not only with financial backing, but also giving his time to this project, which is aimed at reducing poverty in Plymouth across a wide range of initiatives.
